My journey in the online business world started before I even knew what marketing even was. I was part of the Lavin Program at San Diego State University – there were about only 12 of us in that program out of the entire school of business – and every time we had a guest speaker who said they were a marketer, I had no idea what that meant or what they did.
As time went on, we became exposed to high level and successful entrepreneurs. From the guys at Pura Vida and Shakesmart all the way to learning how to paddle board in La Jolla with Thom McElroy, the co-founder of Volcom, to private group meetings with Kurt Listug of Taylor guitars, Jenny Amaraneni of Solo Eyewear, and a ton more of highly successful entrepreneurs in town. My horizon really expanded as I became exposed of what is out there.
But I didn’t get from zero to something overnight.
As I grew in my career in banking with JP Morgan Chase, I learned through online courses and masterminds, networked and connected with people around the world and eventually built our first company with a business partner I never met in person until years down the road (we are now very good friends).
As we progressed, I realized that I was able to recreate knowledge given from other entrepreneurs and dissect that knowledge into simple actionable steps. That’s how we were able to create repeatable results in our marketing firm that we built.
I never realized how everything I learned about procedures and training from JP Morgan would enhance my abilities online.
As time went on and I decided to join a larger digital marketing firm in order to help them grow. In less than 3 months, I was in a leadership role training, managing and directing a team of six key personnel while the company was in the middle of an acquisition.
In less than a year I transitioned even further and went to help Jason Hornung grow. I got to be the CEO of his agency and coach hundreds of entrepreneurs online and a room full in person. All the while refining and perfecting my skill set of creating repeatable, Evergreen Flows that allow for companies to scale.
My mentor caught eye of what I have developed and asked that I dissect my own methodology.
I then created a simple protocol that anyone could follow and taught it to a group of 64 successful business owners and leaders. And that’s how this took off…
Regardless of what stage in business you’re in, if you take anything I share and apply it, I guarantee you will get better clarity and direction on where to take your business and know the exact building blocks you need to create to get there.
I can’t wait to hear your success story.
