You don’t get paid to “care”
but without caring you won’t be able to:
* subconsciously build trust with clients
* work endless hours on perfecting your craft
* promote yourself with confidence
Anyone can get paid to “do”
but no one gets paid to “care”
I’ve personally set incredible incentive plans for teams to reach end of year goals
and have seen top performers opt out from participating…
You can’t incentivize caring.
You have to develop that yourself.
It has to be already within you.
When I see clients who:
1 – have a unique point of view on the problem they solve
2 – genuinely care about doing good work to solve it
3 – execute with lingering (and boring) discipline
they tend to be at the top of their fields (or getting there)
They don’t care because they’re paid to
it’s intrinsic
it’s part of who they are.
