Embracing Possibility in Collaboration

Newsflash: you are not in control of other people’s buying timelines…

Not sure who teaches that pushing for the close works but

back home we’d say “chill homie”

Instead of pushing ask your prospect:

• where are you in your decision-making process?

• what do you need to feel confident moving forward?

• are you comparing options, or are you already decided?

These questions aren’t about selling. they’re about clarity.

Clarity builds trust. and trust closes deals.

this is obvious but has to be written:

If your client doesn’t want to move forward, pushing harder only moves them further away.

Instead, focus on 3 simple things:

• meet them where they are in the process.

• figure out the obstacles between them and the decision.

• ask how you can make that process easier for them

When you do this, you stop being a salesperson and start being a partner.

and that’s when real progress happens.
