you can be moving fast but if it’s in every direction:
you’re not going anywhere!
I see this come up a lot in quarterly planning with clients
we want to conquer the world in a quarter
Now, the ambition isn’t the issue (I think we can all be a bit more driven)
but the problem is just trying to do TOO MUCH, ALL the time
speed without direction is stress
One of the key exercises I practice and work with clients is to answer:
• “what do I and only I do that drives the most impact”
• “what do I need to stop doing”
• “what do I need to keep doing?”
• “what do I need to start doing?”
(I personally ask #1 every week to figure out what can I offload, delete or create an agent to do for me)
