In this episode, Steven Izen, founder and CEO of Lokai and ELEMENTS of Balance, talks about his experience as a young entrepreneur and his advice for people who want to start their own businesses. Starting his first company at the early age of 19, Steven came up with the idea for the company when his grandfather was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and he was thinking about the highs and lows that everyone goes through in life. Lokai donates 10% of its profits to charity and, to date, has donated over 9.4 million to different nonprofit organizations.
Steven and Raul also talk about the company’s aim to do social work and how they maintain this passion within the team and company culture. The company makes sure to give back in various ways, whether it’s through their product or message. They want to be a company that is not only successful in profit, but also in their positive impact on the world.
