We’ve been in the knowledge work phase for quite a while
which led to the rise of the expertise business
that expertise can come in the form of
• hands (leverage their experience to get the job done faster)
• thinking (leverage their expertise to solve problems faster)
• systems (leverage their IP into a packaged solution to implement faster and cheaper)
Now, with the rise of AI agents, what work is left to be done?
• hands: agents do more, never tire and work cheap
• systems: agents run systems you create or create one for you
• thinking: ???
Net New Thinking (and effective communication of that thinking) remains the critical piece as we pioneer the leverage economy.
The winners of this game are the ones who compound their expertise to create net new systems, ideas and paths to solve:
• existing problems in legacy markets
• new problems in rising markets
The losers will not leverage but outsource their thinking to agents.
