There’s a balance between working with a sense of urgency (which you should) and also never being rushed.
Rushed work, rushed life, rushed mind is a state of being, not one I recommend nor enjoy.
But how do you mix that with the work that needs to be done (yesterday) and the tenacity and inner drive you have inside of you?
Poised tension.
Which is just another way of saying ‘focused’:
the deliberate state where the rush and busyness of the world is in the background
and your gaze is at the task at hand, the person in front of you, the work to be done.
It’s a self mastery that requires deliberate effort to eliminate distractions and carry out your work with peace of mind.
Most of us think that once we hit that goal or that milestone, our peace of mind will be there….
When in reality, it’s the current state of your mind that dictates the said outcome and, most importantly, your experience.
