Might get some heat for this…
but
the value in creative work isn’t the work itself…
the value of creative work…
is what it enables your clients to do.
Got price anchored during a quote that some creatives charge $400/hr for their work
while that’s great, it means little to nothing to your clients since they can’t put their finger on what they’ll get at that price
What matters is what your creative work will ENABLE your clients to do
Your creative work has to do one (or several) of these:
• raise their ego (yes, people pay ridiculous sums for this)
• allow them to keep their job (you’re the safer option)
• earn more $
• save more $
Once you set the goal of what your creative work will DO for the client
you can then show them what they’ll get (aka the scope) at the price you set.
Your work (although amazing) is NOT the prize.
It’s who your client becomes because of your work.
