You can’t build with someone who’s already given up in their mind.
If a prospective client doesn’t believe in your solution or even in the possibility of a solution working there’s nothing you can say to win that deal.
I’ve been there and sometimes it has feels like they end up arguing that “exercise doesn’t work”
What happens if you do take someone like that on?
you might keep them for a few months but that disbelief will show up later:
• they won’t implement the plan
• they’ll miss key steps
• Or worse, they’ll sabotage the process entirely or keep you in a short leash
When you hear, “we tried that, it didn’t work,” or “we’ve already done that,” whenever you share your ideas to solve their problems, it’s usually not a setup for collaboration.
It’s a dead end.
They’re not looking for what’s next. They’re stuck in “what failed”.
You’re not there to convince them, you’re there to get results and succeed.
but in order to succeed, you need belief.
Without that belief, no strategy, execution, or support will ever be enough.
